The Role:

Wynnstay are recruiting to expand our Fertiliser team based at Astley near Shrewsbury. In the role you will provide customers with advice on plant nutrition, fertiliser planning, to help improve on-farm profitability.

The Candidate:

You will be able to demonstrate that you can work in a well-structured manner, whilst being ambitious, self-motivated and willing to learn. You will be able to build strong relationships with customers and trade products to meet defined targets. It would be an advantage, although not essential, to possess FACTS qualification.

Location: Hartlebury, near Kidderminster.

The Role:
• Monthly management of accounts preparation for reporting to JFP management to strict deadlines
• Statutory annual accounts and audit file preparation for the Company’s Auditors and Group Financial Controller
• Update monthly forecasts
• Annual budget preparation
• Cash management and financial accounting
• Preparation of corporation tax computation and submission to HMRC
• Control of internal controls and reconciliations
• Overseeing the payroll activity

The Candidate:
Reporting to the Managing Director Group and Finance Director, the successful candidate is likely to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), ideally with previous experience. A strong understanding of the demands of both internal and external users of the Company’s finance function is essential. Excellent IT and analytical skills, together with good interpersonal and communication abilities are prerequisites, together with a total commitment to first rate quality and the achievement of necessary deadlines. Good corporate tax knowledge, together with corporate finance experience would be an added benefit as the Company continues to implement its on-going growth strategy

We have a Store Supervisor position becoming available at our Malvern branch in four weeks time.

Full time hours (37.5 hours a week)

Enthusiastic animal lovers with proven Management experience required to join our team at Three Counties Retail Park, Malvern.

Candidates are required to be flexible to work weekdays, weekends and evenings. The role will include, but not be limited to; staff direction, stock control, opening and closing the store, cash handling and banking, merchandising, maintaining animal welfare standards, complaint minimisation and resolution, sales maximisation and loss prevention.

SQP and other animal based qualifications desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Wynnstay is a leading regional agri-supply business with a group turnover in excess of £368 million, employing some 1000 people across the business.

The Arable Division is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of crop production products to arable and grassland farmers.
We offer a full range of services, including supplying quality seed, fertiliser and agro-chemicals, as well as providing professional grain marketing solutions.

Due to seasonal demand, we are looking to recruit seven temporary seeds operatives for 10 week placements at our Astley site in Shrewsbury.

The Role: Working as part of an existing team, you will conduct a range of inward and outward goods transactions, warehouse duties including stock control and maintaining relevant paperwork records within our Seeds department.


The Candidate: To be considered you will preferably have some warehouse experience, thriving in a fast-paced working environment. Previous forklift experience together with licence would be desirable as would being able to cope with a physically demanding role involving substantial amount of manual handling. Additionally, you will be flexible in your attitude to working hours due to the seasonal nature of the role.
