Sheep & Beef Event - 12th August 2016
Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural event, plans are fully underway for the next Sheep and Beef Event. The event, to be held this year on Friday 12th August 2016, was developed to provide sheep and beef farmers with the best technical advice and information for each sector. Drawing upon key industry representatives, the most important industry questions will be tackled along with showcasing innovative technology and best practice for the sector.
Last year’s event saw over 600 farmers attend the event to hear from leading industry representatives and see the latest innovations in the sector. The overwhelming positive feedback from visitors at the first event ensured continuation this year with even more attractions for farmers.
The event will feature and focus upon the wide range of industry trade stands, demonstrations, seminars and speakers. All will provide best practice advice and opinions on a full ranges of sector topics. Visitors to the event are able to speak to a wide range of suppliers and manufacturers, whilst being able to attend the speaker and seminar sessions. All areas are focussed to build upon technical knowledge and determine opinions on the future of the industry from key market players.
This year’s leading speakers include Nigel Gibbens, DEFRA’s Chief UK Vet and Will Jackson, Sheep and Beef Manager at The Co-operative. Both have a vast amount of experience within their area of the industry, and will allow visitors to gain differing perspectives.
Visitors will also be the first to pick up the new Sheep and Beef catalogue. This directory will detail the vast range of products available from Wynnstay. It will enable farmers to identify the product they need quickly and easily, whilst providing another ordering channel to compliment Wynnstay Stores and online services. Don’t miss out – pick up your copy at the event for the chance to receive introductory discounts!
This year will also see a speed shear taking place at the end of the event, giving experienced shearers the chance to showcase their skills and win some coveted prizes. Timing and sign up details for the shear will be available shortly on the event website.
