Bazooka is a consistent performer across all UK regions and soil types. Not the highest yielding variety any longer, it is however the most competitive hybrid barley against grassweeds as it has the most autumn vigour, tall straw with only a moderate risk of lodging (6). Medium-late maturity and good all-round disease resistance against mildew (6), Rhynchosporium (7) and net blotch (6) but weak against brown rust.
