Wynnstay Beef Cattle Rations
Example feed rates:
- Rations are based on feeding a 500kg Continental x Holstein/Friesian housed in a straw-bedded yard and barrier-fed silage
- Ages are approximate and dependent on system and breed
- Grass silage is assumed to be well made with good intake characteristics @ 25% DM and 14% CP
- Maximum of 2kg compound given in one feed
- Compound feeding rates should be increased by approx 30% for heifers and early-maturing breeds
- Wynnmin Beef mineral should be fed @ 15-20g per 100kg live weight with rations based solely on grass silage
