Congratulations to the Albutt Family of Winchcome who recently won our January prize draw in conjunction with QLF. The family chose the prize of an IBC of L-CBF BOOST as they already use QLF All stock Lite molasses.
The Albutt Family rear beef calves to sell as stores and feed QLF All stock Lite molasses to stimulate forage intakes. They also breed sheep and most acres on the farm are down to grazing pasture, with some spring barley for whole crop, as well as fodder beet.
They plan to use the L-CBF BOOST to stimulate faster grass re-growth after first cut silage and will apply pre and post-emergence on his fodder beet (and possibly spring barley if he’s enough product!) to speed up crop emergence. He has good organic matter in his soils from the use of FYM and grazing. Studies have shown L-CBF BOOST responds well in situations where additional bacteria is applied to soil and should respond particularly well when used in conjunction with FYM or slurry for this reason.
