Jonathan joined Wynnstay in October 2018 as the Product Manager of Combinable Seed.
He previously worked at one of the UK’s leading plant breeders Elsoms Seeds, starting off as a Seed Sales Specialist but then moving into the role as Energy and Forage Crop Manager.
Originally from a family farm in South Yorkshire, Jonathan went on to study Agricultural Business Management at Newcastle University and spent the autumn season working for Woodheads Seeds in Yorkshire.
Jonathon now works as Head of Seed Trading at Saxon Ag.

Exciting additions to the ‘recommended list’ have raised the bar this year, in terms of both yield and disease resistance, making autumn seeds robust and plentiful.
KWS Extase has rightly been grabbing the majority of the headlines with its fantastic septoria tritici and extremely high untreated yield.
There has been such a great response to it, that there won’t be enough supply to meet demand this year.

Delayed drilling due to the ‘Beast from the East’ and little rainfall from May to August last year has impacted seed availability for 2019.
