NFU Cymru have organised a week long campaign of activities to promote Welsh food and agriculture, titled Welsh Farming Week, which started on Monday 6th June and will run until Friday 10th June.
Wynnstay are thrilled to be involved through our sponsorship of the NFU Cymru/ Wynnstay Sustainable Agriculture Award. The second NFU Cymru Sustainable Farming Conference is set to take place at Trewarren Farm in St Ishmael’s, Pembrokeshire on Thursday 9th June. It is kindly hosted by Jason and Ros Llewellin, who were the winners of the inaugural NFU Cymru/Wynnstay Sustainable Agriculture Award in 2019.
Other events during the week have included a joint event with the Cows on Tour Team to share the farm to fork story at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi, near Ruthin, plus also a showcase of Welsh food and farming at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay, where NFU Cymru President Aled Jones told MS’s that affordable food must be a strategic priority for a future agricultural policy designed in Wales.
