The V-Mac Split Diet Feeder Silo has also been designed especially to fill a diet feeder. This silo is split so that two different feed products can be stored in one bin. The silo comes with its own gantry, no other structural steel is required and there are no electrical or moving parts so this silo is relatively maintenance free. To use this silo, you simply reverse or drive under the gantry and fill the diet feeder wagon direct from the silo. The feed is gravity fed into the diet feeder wagon with the flow rate controlled by a pulley and chain mechanism. These silos are available in sizes between 14 and 35 tonne.
