Country Value Radish Sparkler 3

A popular variety with attractive contrasting red and white round roots. The clear white flesh has a crispy, crunchy texture and mild flavour. Prefers rich, well drained soil not recently manured.

Sow outdoors in February to September

• In prepared seed bed
• Sow thinly in rows 23cm (9in) apart
• Cover with 1.5cm of fine soil
• Firm gently and keep moist
• Seedling appear 7-14 days
• For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks
• Thin as require, up to 5cm (2in) apart
• Keep moist, dry conditions may cause plants to bolt.
• Protect early sowing with clothes in cold weather
• Harvest in April to October
• Harvest approx 4 to 6 weeks from sowing
• Useful as a 'catch' crop between slower growing vegetables
