KWS Cranium is our specialist recommendation for late sown wheat, and/ or following root crops. The variety has an erect growth habit, tillers well and develops fast so performs particularly well from 1st November onwards. Light free draining soils where root crops are often grown on is a strength, but it has proven itself on heavier soils too. KWS Cranium adds seedling and adult yellow rust resistance (8) to the hard Group 4 sector, as well as substantially stiffer straw than even the best varieties on the RL making KWS Cranium make a ‘no-brainer’ for late and post root growers.
