A new hard wheat from LG, Beowulf joins as the joint top yielding variety. As expected, it performs fantastically across soil types, regions and drilling slots. The disease ratings speak for itself with good resistances across the board. The slight downside from this comes in the form of a slightly later maturity as its disease package keeps it greener for longer. Its growing habit is fairly erect so expect a fairly even crop, with even maturity. A good specific weight is an improvement on some of the newer varieties of late. LG Beowulf will be a sell out in its first year, so order early to avoid disappointment.Â
