A tall variety, but with strong stem canker resistance and 8 for stem stiffness, this should only be monitored rather than feared. With the vigour pushing on from other successful varieties like PLurax CL and mirroring the vigour profiles of top performing hybrids in both autumn and spring. matrix performed particularly well in high pressure CSFB trials where vigour was a "must".
