The only Group 1 milling wheat with OWBM resistance, Skyfall is grown specifically for its agronomics. A medium-fast developing variety, with extremely low vernalisation requirement, Skyfall should be sown from late September to the end of February. It is still yielding strongly in comparison with other milling varieties coupled with stiff straw, but be aware the yellow rust resistance is low and robust spring fungicide programme required. Remember the variety is a French cross, so expect the bearded ears.
