A true growers variety, RGT Stokes is newly Recommended by AHDB as the second highest yielding variety in the Western region, and third in the North. With huge tillering capacity and big biomass, the variety is a medium developer in winter and then rockets in spring. Stokes is a tall variety with exceptional response to PGR applications, feed growers should be using this wheat. Rated as ‘Good’ for its distilling quality too, it opens a wider market for the North East. Good disease resistance package with Septoria 6.9 and Yellow rust 7, the variety is capable on light and heavy soils, and yields well in the main and second wheat slots.
