Hobson is a forage rape variety perfect for finishing lambs. It is a highly palatable variety with excellent disease resistance to powdery mildew. Hobson has very aggressive growth rates – 10-12 weeks after sowing. Palatability can be increased by mixing stubble turnips and forage rape together. The two mixed together will increase yields and protein content rather than having straight stubble turnips on their own.
