Fiona joined the Wynnstay Poultry Team in September 2018 as Trainee Poultry Specialist before being promoted to Poultry Specialist. She covers all areas of Poultry management, all the while increasing her knowledge and skills to pass on to our customers.
Before joining the team, Fiona came from her family farm in Monmouthshire managing the family’s 16,000 strong organic laying flock. In May 2018 Fiona also completed an HNC in Poultry Production at Scotland’s Rural University College.
Her aims are to support all customers as much as possible in all aspects from feed, egg production, health, welfare and everything in between to produce the best possible outcome for our customers.
From a young age, Fred Liddell our Poultry Specialist was always interested in agriculture - particularly the livestock side of it.
Although not from a farming family, Fred grew up helping with all aspects of a beef and sheep farm next door to his grandmother’s home in Lancashire. He also spent lots of time with his uncle, who owned a small contracting business which was also based in Lancashire.
Steve joined the Wynnstay Poultry Team in December 2020 bringing with him a wealth of experience from the poultry industry.
Steve’s role will include technical support on feed, while also drawing on his experience in pullet rearing and breed genetics, to provide tailored advice to customers which takes all relevant factors into account.
Steve will be visiting farms regular to allow him to get to know the flocks by monitoring performance indicators such as growth, feed intake and egg weight.
