Sow indoors from January to March or September to October. Sow outdoors from April to May.
Indoors: In 7.5cm pots of seed compost. Sow singly, cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glassm polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15 degrees celsius. Seedlings appear 12-21 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position Keep moist and weed free.
Outdoors: In a prepared seed bed in flowering position, in rows 60cm apart. Cover with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently. When large enough thin to 30cm apart. Keep moist and weed free. Train up supports as required.
Flowers May to October. Pick regularly for longer flowering.
Soak seeds in tepid water for 24hours prior to sowing.Â
