Crusoe’s has seen a resurgence in popularity of recent years, universally accepted by millers’ and bakers due to it fantastic grain quality. Crusoe stands out with its distinctive “wax-less” appearance with a high tillering capacity and semi-erect growth habit. An exceptional yellow rust resistance is another standout feature, alongside solid scores against septoria and mildew. Looking the most stable of the group 1 millers. Brown Rust is its achilles heel so must be monitored as the season develops. Crusoe is well suited to a first wheat on heavy fertile ground sown in main drilling window 20th September - 20th October.
