It is extremely quick out of the blocks and needs to be managed appropriately, especially if sown before the middle of August. Wynnstay advise Aviron to be sown later than other varieties, recommended from end of August and into September. Aviron's vigour also makes it a good re-seeding variety if previous attempts have failed.Â
