The Wynnstay distribution department has over 90 HGV vehicles on the road and over 122 employees. For over 100 years, Wynnstay has been delivering feed across the UK, in 2021 we covered more than 1 million miles.
Currently, 75% of the fleet is running on biofuel, we are currently working on higher grades of biofuel and are exploring alternatives such as electric, hydrogen and LPG powered vehicles. The 8 members of Wynnstay’s in-house workshop facility, based at Llansantffraid, work to ensure that our entire fleet is maintained to the highest professional standard.
We speak to Rob Williams, Sales Specialist at Wynnstay to find out about his role within the agricultural industry. We learn about how he came to be in his current role and the challenges faced in such an uncertain cllimate.
The UK Government will continue to offer Countryside Stewardship agreements in2022 and 2023.
Countryside Stewardship will eventually be replaced with the new Environmental Land Management (ELM) scheme. This will follow trialling and testing and a national pilot involving farmers and land managers during the next few years.

Over £6,000 was raised by Wynnstay in 2021 for The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), when 201 colleagues took part in a challenge to see how many times they could travel 644 miles, the distance between Wynnstay’s northernmost and southernmost stores
