NABIM Group 2 - Breadmaking Potential
A good partner to grow alongside other quality wheats, with similar high yields, accepted by the millers as a Group 2-type. Suitable for East and West regions, it performs well across soil types and is an acceptable choice as a second wheat. It can be drilled slightly earlier than KWS Extase starting no earlier than the last week of September. It relatively early to mature variety (+1) and has good resistance to sprouting according to the breeder. A clean variety with one of the highest untreated yields from its good disease package. The breeder claims that it offers broader genetic diversity against Septoria tritici. Moderately susceptible to fusarium ear blight and not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge. This is a good option to spread marketing and harvest risk with another variety like Extase or Crusoe.
